Fontfroide Abbey
Gustave Faye owned the Abbey when it was put up for sale in the early 1900’s, building and commissioning a huge collection of modern art - he was a major client for Gauguin.
There is a strong connection with the era and works I have been studying or focussing on in London. The Post impressionists that inspire me and the connections between symbolism and colour theory that infuences artists I admire today, connects to my own work.
